This three-element fully multicoated 2" focal reducer and field flattener lens is designed to reduce the native f/8 focal ratio of Meade LX800 Advanced Coma-Free (ACF) catadioptrics to f/5 for shorter exposure/wider field imaging and to flatten the wider field during astrophotography.

It is designed for use with Meade 10", 12", and 14" LX600 and LX800 f/8 ACF telescopes only. The f/5 focal reducer function decreases DSLR and CCD exposure times, while widening the field of view by approximately 60%. The field flattener function assures that the coma-free stars at the edges of the significantly wider telescope fields are simultaneously in focus with the stars at the center of the field.
